MBa7x DIP switch settings

Boot Device Selection (S1, S2, S3 & S4)

To select the desired boot medium set the DIP switches S2, S3, S4 and S1 accordingly.

Switching boot sources is only possible if the BOOT_MODE fuses are not programmed. If configured for “Boot from eFuses” but fuses are not programmed, the boot loader will not be able to determine the boot source.

To enable boot device selection BOOT_MODE has to be set to “Internal Boot”.
This can be done using DIP switch S1 on MBa7x:

The following boot modes of the i.MX7 can be selected by the DIP switches S1, S2, S3 and S4 on the MBa7x.

CAN configuration (S5)

DIP switch S5 is used to configure the CAN interfaces CAN1 and CAN2.

Termination

DIP OFF (default) ON
S5-1 CAN1 not terminated CAN1 interface terminated (120Ω)
S5-2 CAN2 not terminated CAN2 interface terminated (120Ω)

RS485 configuration (S6)

DIP switch S6 is used to configure the RS485 interface.

Termination

DIP OFF (default) ON
S6-1 RS485 RxD not terminated RS485 RxD terminated (120Ω)
S6-2 RS485 TxD not terminated RS485 TxD terminated (120Ω)
