Configuration EEPROM

Most TQ modules are equipped with a so called “Configuration EEPROM”, which holds some essential module specific data.

Unless explicitly instructed to do so, TQ strongly recommends to not modify this “Module Specific Data Block (MSDB)”.
Improper modifications may render the module unbootable.

However, the unused part of the EEPROM starting at offset 0x80 is available for use by customers.

The following table shows the structure of the “Module Specific Data Block (MSDB)”:

Offset Payload Padding Size Type Description
0x00 variablevariable32 binaryHard Reset Configuration Word (HRCW)
0x20 6 10 16 binaryMAC Address
0x30 8 8 16 ASCII Serial number
0x40 variablevariable64 ASCII TQ Long

Please note that some TQ modules also provide a second, so called “Data EPPROM”.
This EEPROM is intended to be used exclusively by the customer's application.
