Ways To Access The Support Wiki
- The URL http://support.tq-group.com
- On the TQ Main Homepage: move the cursor over the support tab at the top righthand corner and click 'Support Wiki'
- On the product page of the respective module, scroll down to the overview and select 'support', then klick on the support wiki entry.
The Startpage
In our wiki you will find not only tutorials (http://support.tq-group.com/doku.php?id=en:general_information:tutorial) and guidelines, for example for setting up a virtual machine on your desktop (http://support.tq-group.com/doku.php?id=de:vm), but also software information for a variety of modules.
The toolbar 'supplementary tools' refers to the general information on the startpage and you will find it on any page in the wiki. You can find the meaning of the icons under general information on the startpage, or by simply hovering the cursor over one of the symbols.
Underneath, every module is arranged according to processor architecture. To receive further information about any module, just click on it.
Contents Of a Wiki Page
On the module startpage you will find every information availably. The picture shows the Wiki-entry of the TQMa6X, which will be used as an example in this article.
As you can see there are three tabs: 'Product Information', 'Board Support Packages' and 'Starterkit'.
- The Product Information tab contains hyperlinks to the product page and the respective Starterkit on the TQ homepage. Furthermore you can find the latest drivers and a detailed manual by selecting Downloads. The simplified version of said manual can be downloaded as .pdf by selecting Quick start guide.
- The Board Support Packages tab consists of an overview of the BSP as well as the newest BSP revisions and respective PTXdist Versions, OSELAS toolchains etc. Furthermore you can find changelogs and information about the latest features of the software. The BSP revisions running Linux can be downloaded without further enquiry. The board support packages running QNX Neutrino and Wind River VxWorks need to be requested and can not be downloaded from the wiki due to license regulations.
- The Starterkit tab displays DIP switch settings to set up boot modes or configure CAN interfaces among other things.
Board Support Packages - Linux
The Linux entry in the Board Support Packages tab is always divided into 9 collumns.
- In BSP Overview Changelogs you can find a BSP Matrix with the different BSP Revisions, PTXdist Versions and OSELAS toolchains etc. Furthermore you can find changelogs and a feature overview of BSP and bootloader.
- The next entry describes the preparation of the Development Environment. This includes PTXdist setup and a catalogue of all packages required to run it, along with the installation of the toolchain and the BSP.
- Building BSP describes the compilation of the basic BSP with PTXdist
- Adapting BSP shows how to adapt the basic BSP for custom hardware.
- Deployment describes how to move bootloader, kernel and RootFS via network to the eMMC, as well as how to write an image from SD-Card onto the eMMC.
- How-to contains various manuals, for example how to change boot-devices and device tree, how to use a display and how to set up the graphics unit.
